Alex Lydon
Born to an affluant London family, Alex moved with his little sister and widowed mother to America shortly after the Second World War, his father having drowned on the way back from Dunkirk during the evacuation attempt in 1940. He was changed in a back alley of a shady bar in Duluth, Minnesota by a young vampire barely out of his newborn phase. At the time he was in his early twenties, having enrolled in the local university at his mother's insistance, studying History, the year being 1948. When he recovered from the agonizing pain of the transformation a couple of days later, he began to notice the burning in his throat, only satisfied when his thirst for blood had been quenched. When he figured out what he was, mainly citing the Dracula books he had read when he was younger as proof, he sought out more of his kind. He travelled round with other nomads for several years as he got used to being a vampire. By the end of the fifties he was living and hunting in North America, not staying in any area too long to avoid suspicion.
In the sixties he transformed Mary, a prostitute, whilst passing through New York on a spur of the moment decision. Realising what he had done he left the area, not wanting to be left with the responsibility of looking after a New Born. Twenty years later he met up with her again, her name now Desire, not long after meeting another lone vampire, Aleta. The three of them then went on to form a coven.
